Pancit malabon has always been a part of Filipino celebrations like birthdays and gatherings. Some people often confuse it with pancit palabok. Just what is the difference between pancit malabon and pancit palabok?
Pancit Malabon
- Thicker rice noodles.
- The sauce is already mixed in with the noodles.
- Since pancit malabon originated from an area where seafood is aplenty, the toppings and ingredients used are seafood like squid and shrimps.
Pancit Palabok
- Thin rice noodles.
- The sauce is only served on top of the pancit.
- The toppings used in pancit palabok varies from area to area, but it is known to use different ingredients like tofu, ground pork and pork chicharon.
